Silverdale Lands Mission BC

We all were invited to the Urban Development Institute breakfast on Monday here the District of Mission. Mayor Randy Hawes, Councillors, Pam Alexis, Carol Hamilton, Danny Plecas and Jim Hindes along with staff presented to developers, and local interested business people, their willingness to show Mission is indeed open for business. The presentation showed how more industrial land is required to support the good jobs for new emerging young families who will be moving to and living in our community in the future.

A presentation was made on behalf of the Genstar Development Co. and the Madison Development Corp. offering for sale the 48 legal parcels they own in Silverdale. The offering consists of 1,169.34 acres as well as an additional 194 acres of land reffered to as remnant properties. This offering is represented as the largest private land holding outside of the ALR left in the lower mainland region and is an opportunity to develop one of the largest master-planned communities in Canada.
